An Experiment!

As I walked on the
dusty pavement
I shed my identity..
And then I was a nobody
A happy nobody in the
blue funk world..
A magician waved his wand
And all of a sudden
I was everybody..
The beggar on the busy street
A dog indifferent with hollow eyes
Those wilted flowers of
a shady tree.
Minds yearning for salvation..
I was becoming the Earth
Bare and burdened
Rain, a heart stirring sob
Wind, warm from
an anguished sigh..
I was becoming everyone
everyone without a soul..
I wanted back my identity,
One which I never owned..
Too late, a voice said,
A regretting me, melted
in the crowd..

  1. Maybe it is that we want to everyone else when we are best as us, and when we start being someone else, it is too late to return to being us, coz we forget that.
